JBA League First Round Complete – More in Store for Round Two

The JBA League has completed its first round of the season — that’s right, the season that was never supposed to happen in the first place.

From naysayers all over the country skeptical that a league created by LaVar Ball could come to fruition, the JBA League has not only began, but has zero plans of slowing down. The inaugural season kicked off on June 21st at Citizens Business Bank Arena with fans excited to see LaMelo Ball play in his first game in the states since last year’s AAU season with the Big Ballers.

From what was intended by detractors to be a league created to give the youngest Ball brother exposure, the opposite has happened, as many players have made names for themselves — with much more in store in the second round of the season.

Players such as Je’Rell Springer, Nigel Chaney, Niles Malone, Greg Floyd, JaMicheal Morgan, and so many more have become household names for fans who have supported the JBA League. Many of these players (including those mentioned) have quickly proven they can play at the professional level beyond the JBA.

The experience created by the JBA is one similar to what you will see at any professional basketball game. When you arrive, you can purchase some Big Baller Brand merch at the pop-up shop. Inside the arena, expect to see highlights on the jumbotron, a professional public announcer, exciting dance teams, an in-house DJ, and of course — two basketball games filled with passion, toughness, and grit.

Not to be outdone, the games can be viewed on the Facebook Watch platform, which allows you to watch on your mobile device as well as hook up to your TV. The live stream features live commentary from yours truly and former Iowa State Cyclone football player, Allen Bell aka ABtheHero. In addition, you will receive highlights composed from eight different camera angles, and may even get your name shouted out live on the broadcast.

The JBA experience is unique in its own right, but the newness of it all is what makes it even more intriguing. With just a couple months to iron every minute detail — fans are able to experience a quality product both in-person as well as through live stream. Not to mention if you’re big on live stats, box scores, play-by-play, etc. — all of that is available via the JBA League website.

The beauty in all of this is there is much more to come. With more promotions in store for the second round as well as lower ticket prices, fans can see what the hype is all about and take part in this historic season.

If you were expecting this league to fail — I’m sorry (not sorry). If you are in support and want to see what the next round and beyond has in store — stay tuned. The JBA League is here to stay, and will long be an alternative to the corruptness of the NCAA.
